High gravisensitivity of endothelium is now wellrnrecognized. Therefore, the microgravity can be one ofrnthe main factors affecting the endothelium in spacernflight. In this work we studied the effects of gravityrnvector randomization (3D-clinorotation in RPM) on thernviability of endothelial cells from human umbilical veinrn(HUVEC) and the expression of adhesion molecules onrnits surface. After RPM exposure, HUVEC conditioningrnmedium was collected for cytokines evaluation, a partrnof vials was used for immunocytochemistry and otherrnone – for cytofluorimetric analysis of ICAM-I, VCAMI,rnPECAM-I, E-selectin, Endoglin, VE-cadherinrnexpression. The viability of HUVEC and constitutivernexpression of EC marker molecules PECAM-I andrnEndoglin were similar in all experimental groups bothrnafter 6 and 24 hrs of exposure. There were norndifferences in ICAM-I and E-selectin expression onrnHUVEC in 3 groups after 6 hrs of exposure. 24 hrsrnincubation has provoked decrease in ICAM-I and Eselectinrnexpression. Thus, gravity vector randomizationrncan lead to the disruption of ECs monolayer.
