In the course of the TEXUS 45 experiment we werernable to show that the time-course of a habituation torndiminished gravity depends on the respective G-levelrnHQM (high quality microgravity, 10~(-4)g) vs. LQM (lowrnquality microgravity, 10~(-2)g) and on the symmetricrnmorphology of the gravity sensing components of therninner ear. An individually different regulation of innerrnear otolith calcification plays a role in this process.rnWith this study, the results of the TEXUS 45 flightrnwere validated for another g-level (9×10~(-4)g). In therncourse of the behavioural investigations we were ablernto show that most fish could adapt to these μgrncondition. Fish experiencing permanently 9×10~(-4)grnduring the whole flight exhibit less kinetoticrnmovements and from this we conclude, that they mightrnuse this minimal g-force for orientation. Furthermorernthese behavioural data were correlated with thernmorphology of otoliths (Lapilli and Sagittae).
