摘要

The ozonization of water is a very effective process in removing color. However there is little evidence to prove that organic matter is eliminated from the treated waters. Ozonization of waters containing industrial organic wastes always results in the formation of new products derived from the oxidation of complex molecules. While these reactions may reduce the chlorine demand of the water, it does not imply the non-formation of organochloro compounds when the water is chlorinated.
