摘要

Recently,utilizing nanoscaled fibers as a filler to reinforce transparent polymers has drawn widespread attention in the research and development of optically transparent composites.[1-2] The purpose of this study was to determine the effects of electrospun aligned nylon-6 (PA-6) nanofibers as reinforcement on mechanical performance and light transmittance of the poly (methyl methacrylate)(PMMA)based composite.Simultaneous electrospinning of PA-6 and PMMA onto a high speed rotating drum collector enabled us to generate individual filaments well-mingled fibrous mats,consisted of the electrospun aligned PA-6 nanofibers and PMMA fibers.
