The aim of this research was to reduce the brittle and increase the toughness of polylactic acid (PLA) by adding epoxidized natural rubber (ENR)[1].ENR with epoxidation content of 33 mol% was mixed in chloroform solvent at room temperature for preparation of film.The film was formed by casting a film sheet.Mechanical tests showed that the introduction of ENR reduced the tensile strength but enhanced the elongation of PLA.The tensile strength and elongation at break of the PLA/ENR ratio of PLA (15 wt% stock solution) / ENR (3 wt% stock solution) (80/20) were 12.52 N/mm2 and 224%,respectively.
