Aqueous alkanolamine solutions such asrnmonoethanolamine (MEA) and N-methyldiethanolaminern(MDEA) are commercially used to remove acid gas suchrnas carbon dioxide (CO_2) causing climate change andrnglobal warming from power plant flue gas stream.rnTherefore, to obtain the efficient design and operation of arngas treating process plant, this process requires data ofrnphysical and transport properties like density andrnviscosity of these solutions. The densities and viscositiesrnof binary solutions of monoethanolamine (MEA) + water,rnmethyldiethanolamine (MDEA) + water and ternaryrnsolution of MEA + MDEA + water are correlated overrnthe entire concentration ranging from 0 to 1 mole fractionrnand temperature ranging from 25-80℃ for binary systemrnand for ternary system, total concentration of 30% massrnand temperature ranges from 30-80℃. Various correlationrnmodels such as Redlich-Kister equation, Wilson model,rnequation of Grunberg and Nissan and an empiricalrnpolynomial correlation are used for correlation with thernmeasured data. Among them, the Redlich–Kister equationrnshows the most suitable model that correlated best withrnexperimental data.
