This research work shows different possibilities to detect haze material, which passes thernfilter and could be detected by light scattering measurement. In case of a turbidity caused byrnα-glucan a method will be explained to differ between glycogen of the yeast and α-glucan ofrnthe malt. Through membrane filtration and staining methods, particles, which will be foundrnafter filtration or filling, could be identified. Different pictures of those particles will bernshown. The knowledge of the origin of the turbidity or of the particles enables the brewer torncorrect the technology of the brewing process.
