摘要

In this study, the differential quadrature method is used for the static analysis ofrnlaminated plates with variable thickness. The plate is considered to be thin andrnclassical plate theory is used when formulating the problem. Both linear andrnparabolic thickness variations are considered. The simply supported and clampedrnboundary conditions are considered. The displacement and strain distributions arerncompared with the ones obtained by using the ANSYS. The results are found to bernin an agreement. The effect of taper ratio on the displacement and strainrndistributions are investigated.
