A pintle nozzle controllable solid propulsion system was demonstrated in the joint US Air Force and US Navy Fourth Generation Escape Systems Technology Demonstration (4~th Gen) Program. Industry team prime contractor, Boeing, and propulsion subcontractor Aerojet designed, built and demonstrated the advanced technology propulsion and control system using an ACES II ejection seat as a demonstration test bed.
