The Chief of Staff of the air Force (CSAF) recently approved a proposal to significantly change the Air Force Aerospace Physiology Program. The proposal calls for closing five altitude chamber training facilities, redistributing soem of the military manpower positions as HPTTs to all active AF wings with flying operations, coordinating Aerospace Physiology and Human Performance trainign with other wing agencies to eliminate training redundancies and inefficiencies, and extending the altitude chamber exposure requirement from three to five years.
