摘要

Diffusion coefficient of PbO in PbO/GeO_2-codoped optical fibers was estimated by using the change in mode field diameter of the fiber upon heat treatment for core expansion. The fiber showed the highest expansion in the MFD by about two times after heat treatment at 12OO℃ for 1 hour and the diffusion coefficient of Pb ions was found to be about L60 × 10~(-14) m~2/s at 1200℃.
