摘要

Two variants of a new generation, low cost thermal sensing system are described with application to the railway environment. The first variant is a detection sensor with application to monitoring the movement of people about the station concourse and platforms, and counting people on and off trains. The second variant is a very low cost thermal imager with a capability for temperature measurement that may be used for any non-contact temperature measurement and thermal surveying tasks.
