TC4 titanium alloy was employed to pulsed electron beam treated and the distribution along surface layer was investigated by Nano-indent analysis technology. The characteristics of grade characteristics were analyzed by studying the distribution of hardness and yield strength along surface layer of specimens which were electron beam treated specimens by SEM. The correlation of hardness to micro structure was analyzed and the reason of forming grade fine grain microstructure was investigated. The temperature grade or heat effect caused by pulsed electron beam treatment is the main reason to form grade fine grain microstructure in surface layer.
