摘要

The problems related to noise pollution assume great importance today in assessing the quality of life, especially in urban areas. In the present paper a noise prediction model for urban and suburban areas is introduced. The prediction model has been developed on a testing network in the province of Cosenza. A model, based on measurements of sound levels, specific urban context, traffic flow characteristics, road network characteristics, has been defined and calibrated.
