The optimum concentration of the spherical powder constituents of a mixture aimed at compact packing in free state or in pressed state depends on the compactness of each component in the same state as the mixture. Due to the packing manner of the components in the mixture, the compactness of each constituent is lower when they are found in the mixture than in the case when they are unmixed. Taking as initial condition the ideal concentration of the components established with Furnace relation, the paper presents a graphic-experimental method than enables the determination of the optimum concentration of the components of a mixture of maximum compactness by using nomogrames. The method performing a minimum number of experiments and by using the nomogrames.
