摘要

An on-site comprehensive investigation was carried out on the Bell-Tower of the Cathedral of Cremona in order to prepare a design for its maintenance. Before setting-up a monitoring system the geometrical survey and an inside investigation together with on-site and laboratory tests on masonries and component materials were performed. Georadar, sonic pulse velocity test and other diagnostic techniques were applied to know the state of conservation of the load bearing walls and to detect the existence of veneer walls and then- connection to the inner wall. The results of the tests are compared in order to check their complementary.
