Contemporary tendencies on methods for control of the Gyro Moment Clusters (GMCs) based on the single gimbal control moment gyroscopes (gyrodines) are considered. The GMCs are principle executive devices of the spacecraft (SC) attitude control systems. Different schemes for 4 or 6 gyrodines' arrangement on the SC body, the GMCs tuning laws and the gyrodine control algorithms are analyzed. New methods for forming the GMCs control laws and steering are suggested. These methods are based on the explicit analytical relations and allow efficiently predicting realizability of the SC planned angular motion directly onboard. Problems of the MGC dynamics at the SC attitude control, and also ways for supporting their fault tolerance and reliability, are considered.
