The area of Pomeranian Bay and the eastern region of Southern Baltic are covered by the DGPS reference station in Dziwnow. The station started transmitting corrections for the GPS system in 1995. The transmission range was too small for continued reception of correction signals along the Polish coast, also covered by the other station in Rozewie. Consequently, in 200] a new transmission station was built to increase the signal transmission range. The paper presents the scope of work done during the modernization of aerial field in order to extend the Dziwnow station range and the results of signal strength measurements made in summer 2001 in the discussed area are shown.
