摘要

The four -year period of the active orbital lifetime of the "Meteor-3M" spacecraft is over. Meteor-3M was orbit-inserted on December 10, 2001 by Zenit-2 SLV from the Baikonour launch site. The space vehicle is a multi-purpose earth artificial satellite simultaneously fulfilling the tasks of natural resources exploration, environment monitoring, study of atmosphere and world ocean parameters, heliophysical and hydrometeorologi-cal support. The Russian Aviation & Space Agency (Rosaviakosmos) and the Federal Service for Hydrometeorology and Environment Monitoring were the S/C Customers. The Reseach Institute of Electrjmechanics was the Contractor. The spacecraft was controlled in flight by the Mission Control and Modeling Center (TsUP-M) located in the city of Korolev, Moscow region. High quality space imagery was acquired. Using the high spatial resolution scanner images of some areas of Russia were obtained. Currently many Russian and foreign users continue to send applications for various types of dedicated information.
