We conducted experimental desaturations on Tournemire argilite samples and compared the results to a Richard's desaturation model. The experimental and modelling results are presented in this paper. The physical parameters describing the argilite from the desaturation pro :ess point of view are then discussed. Results achieved suggest that the Richard's model is well adapted to the modelling of argilite desaturation but additional physical characterization such as the experimental relative permeability curve measurement must be performed.
