摘要

The objective of study is to present an adequate model of reinforced porous material. The derivation of a model to describe the mechanical properties provides a basis for the interpretation of structure and properties relationships as well as to predict design data. Agreement of analytical solution with experimental data is reasonable showing for further investigations, particularly in the area of the interface between the fibre and matrix. The effect of high reinforcement content on modulus and strength properties is negated somewhat by the problems of short-fibre reinforcement incorporation into the sysstem.
