A Capillary Zone Electrophoresis (CZE) method was established for separation and determination of SMZ and TMP in the Tabellae sulfamethoxazoli compositae. The determiend contents of SMZ and TMP in the two kinds of tabellaes were compared with the reported levels in the pharmacopoeiz of China, demonstrating the proposed CZE method is useful for quality monitoring SMZ and TMP in differnet pharmaceutical preparations.
