We present a short overview of areas related to the field of EEG feedback technology. Historically, separated areas of audio-visual stimulation (AVS) and EEG feedback are currently probed for merging. EEG-driven stimulation (EDS), used for the first time in neurotherapy (Ochs, 1997) represents a new challenge for more consistent understanding of the phenomenon together with the practical goal to optimize this feedback process for some selected goals. This involves mainly neccessity to investigate new signal representations which would uncover at least to some extent the hidden nature of the dynamics of these processes. Main focus of this paper is devoted to the basic simple design of EDS, which would be proper for the evaluation of the different stimulation settings as well as various signal representations and signal characteristics. We present preliminary results which evaluate the dynamical changes during EDS and typical AVS experiments by means of two recently proposed methods which are based on the embedding space reconstruction of the EEG signal.
