摘要

"Restore America's Estuaries" is a nonprofit organization and a large compositive program in USA. It was created in 1995, whose goal is to restore 1 million acres of estuary habitat by the year 2010. This paper introduces the situation of "Restore America's "Estuaries" and the gist of The Estuary Restoration Act, A National Strategy to Restore Coastal and Estuarine Habitat, and Principles of Estuarine Habitat Restoration. Then, enlightened from them, and combining with China's estuaries situation, put forward some suggestion in 5 aspects: enhance science research, need a national strategy or a strategic plan, make efforts together, fund support, education and scientific popularization, so as to provide reference for China's ecosystem conservation and restoration in estuaries.
