摘要

The technology of flame retardant finish applied to textile was initially developed by a famous chemist named Gay Lussac in 1820, and thus drew the prologue to application of flame retardant finish to textile in human process history. Over the past century, especially since the 1930s when synthetic fiber was successfully developed, not only the technology of flame retardant finish on textile but the related evaluation methods and regulations have been developed rapidly and optimized perfectly. Developing and promoting flame retardant textile has become a necessity to meet the social demands. After China implemented reform and opening up policy, the State' s domestic nonwovnes industry has developed rapidly. State -of- the - art nonwovens production technologies have consistently been developed and product categories have been consistently increased. Nonwovens, a new type of material, has been applied in many industrial fields and many aspects of people's daily life. With application fields of nonwovens broadening and people's consciousness to prevent fire increasing, it has become a demand to conduct flame retardant finish on nonwovens.
