摘要

Double-O-Tube (DOT) shield machine can build two circular tunnels at the same time. The DOT machine has the shape of dumbbell and it is much wider than single circular shield tunnel (SCST) machine. DOT's moving control and tail grouting during construction is different from SCST. These differences will cause different distribution pattern of surface settlement. Finite element method is adopted to analyze surface settlement due to DOT-tunnel construction. This paper compares the surface settlement due to DOT construction,with SCST with the same cross section area and twin single circular tunnel (TSCT) with the same diameter. The calculated results show that the maximum settlement of DOT tunnel is about 1.5 times of SCST and is about 1.6 times of TSCT. The width of settlement trough of DOT-tunnel is about 1.2 times of SCST. Moreover, the rolling correction during DOT-tunnel construction causes asymmetry settlement trough and additional settlement.
