Study on Forward Modeling Methods of Through-Casing Resistivity Logging

摘要

For the problem of through-casing resistivity, the integral equation method(IEM), the finite difference method(FDM) and the modified transmission line equation method(MTLEM) are studied in this paper. According to these methods, calculation programs are designed and the results of different methods are compared. The classical transmission line equation is modified in order to solve the problem of complex model, then the modified transmission line equation method is obtained and the logging response of complex model is computed. The result indicates that MTLEM is good enough to simulate the response of the through casing resistivity logging.
