Moving large amounts of overburden and waste material in large open pit mines, often on the order of hundreds of millions of tons per year, requires mining companies to make significant investments in loading and hauling equipment. The 4100XPB shovel has been designed with availability and production enhanced control, power transmission, diagnostic, and communication systems that make it economically feasible to move the massive amounts of overburden and waste material in a modern open pit operation.
