摘要

The use of micrometeorological and chamber methods to monitor trace gas fluxes from bioremediation facilities is described. Flux data collected during two field studies conducted at remotely located diesel fuel contaminated soil bioremediation facilities in northern Ontario are presented along with speciated hydrocarbon data. At the first site, carbon dioxide fluxes were measured using three techniques for a period of 33 days. At the second site, static chamber methods were used to measure total hydrocarbon (THC), CO_2 and N_2O fluxes. Experiments showed that THC fluxes increased 16-fold upon cultivation. Nitrous oxide emissions were larger than those typically observed from agricultural soils.
