The results have shown that there is a strong correlation between ICU turbidity and NTU. This would indicate that both methods could be used to determine turbidity and the data could be interchanged. However, we do not necessarily recommend using these correlations to convert NTU values to ICU values or vice versa. We feel the correlations can be used to show ranges in which sugars may fall with regard to their quality as far as turbidity is concerned, and that users of two different methods could understand what the value from the other method means in relationship to their own value.
