In the study of exact controllability and stabilization problems of two- and three-dimensional bodies (elastic, viscoelastic) and structures like plates and shells it is usually assumed that those solids are made of isotropic and homogeneous materials (see Komornik[3], Lagnese[4], Lagnese and Lions[5], Lasiecka et al.[6], Lions[8]).
