Biological fluids (PRP, whole blood, BMA) have been shown to preserve the osteoinductivity of this commercial bone graft substitute when used in place of phosphate buffered saline. Certain diluents, such as PRP, seem to enhance the osteogenic response. These results should be correlated with an orthotopic model to confirm clinical relevance.
