A proposed decision aid for the EFV prognostics system will be discussed. The decision aid will provide mission-specific warnings and advice to the operator based on the diagnostic and prognostic outputs of the Drive Train Prognostic System (DTPS). Because prognostics are concerned with predicted Machinery State and future probable conditions, the benefits are unique from those available in a diagnostics system, which focuses on identifying a functional failure for the operator/maintainer.
