Technical integration of past stimulation practices with the subsequent production responses provided the insight for optimizing completion and stimulation practices in the deep Red Fork play of the Southwest Canyon City field. This case history illustrates the methods used to characterize the reservoir properties and the effectiveness of prior completion approaches. Based on these evaluations, a customized completion and stimulation approach was developed that was specifically tailored to match the identified reservoir, producing, and fracturing characteristics. Coupled with real-time execution of fracture stimulation treatments, this optimized approach increased the average daily production by 71
