摘要

A new model of an integral collector storage (ICS) solar domestic hot water (SDHW) system has been created to help answer some of the design issues surrounding potential commercial products. This new tool quickly and accurately solves the coupled differential energy balance equations imposed by a load-side heat exchanger device immersed in the ICS storage medium. Because of its inherent flexibility, the model can be driven with a wide variety of operating scenarios and "tuned" to match experimental results as they become available.
