摘要

The tests described in this paper represent the first full-scale test of a biocover in the US. Operationally, landfill personnel are pleased with its performance. While statistically valid data are not yet available to prove its efficacy in mitigation of methane emissions, all theory and published results suggest that the biocover will be effective. Methane emissions off the test areas are in general quite low due to the presence of an active gas collection system, making measurements of low flows challenging.
