Some of the oily produced water can't be reinjected, there arernnearly 20 thousand cubic meters oily sewage being drainedrnevery day now in Shengli oil field. The oil content of therndrained sewage is above 300ppm, and the COD is about 250—rn480mg/l. In order to protect environment, the sewage must berntreated before venting. This paper describes the method ofrnmicrobial processing oily sewage. We applied thernhydrocarbon deterioration bacterial with gas lift processing torntreat the oily sewage. After the treatment, the oil content wasrnreduced to 10ppm while COD was cut down to lower thanrn120mg/l. This microbiological process improved the drainedrnwater's quality, reduced the impact to the environment.
