This paper presents four criteria suggested for selecting intenatioanl petrolem E&P invstment opportunities.It will be demjonstriated how these critieria facilitate economic evaluation of E&P new business devlopent opportunities.The two types of opportunities for which the utility of these criteia will be deomonstrated,are exploration and discovered reserve opportunities,which requre devlopment,in various different fiscal regimes.
