摘要

Novel macromolecular antioxidants have been developed which are shown to be highly effective processing stabilizers for high density polyethylene in multiple pass extrusion experiments. Performance criteria included changes in oxidative induction time (OIT) and melt flow index (MFI) after multiple pass extrusion. As described in the previous paper of this series, the high performance of these antioxidants is attributed to the collective ability of multiple active moieties to scavenge radicals with high efficiency while avoiding undesired propagation reactions.
