摘要

The production of high clarity, practically transparent, glossy polypropylene films has typically been accomplished through BOPP, cast, water quenched or double bubble processes. High clarity and gloss films had been produced through the existent coextrusion blown film process (typically used for polyethylene) using polypropylene grades based on proprietary technologies from Total Petrochemicals USA, Inc. The optical properties obtained with these polypropylene-based blown films are comparable to those obtained with clarity LDPE-based films produced by the same process. A unique characteristic of these films is their high modulus combined with excellent optical properties (high modulus / haze ratio).
