This paper presents a method to determinate safety factors when designing laminates with strongly non-linear behavior. To evaluate laminate's reliability, its failure probability can be calculated. The second moment-FORM (First Order Reliability Method) method is used. The probability transformation employed here is the Nataf's one in order to take into account correlation between variables. To find the conception point, Rackwitz-Fiessler's method is used. The variability of the nominal parameters is then introduced in the reliability evaluation. Finally an application on a composite plate is carried out to show up the weigh of the nominal parameters.
