Abstract: This paper describes a load test performed on a bridge that has a deflected steel I-beam. The test was conducted using acoustic strain gauges. Results from the test were used to evaluate the extent of composite action between the deck and the beams thereby eliminating speculation in the load rating analysis of the structure. !55
