It is a singular honour to receive the Beedle Award for 2007. When I was informed about this I was, needless to say, in a state of euphoria. That was dampened, however, when I was told I would have to give an address. From my personal "in-head"dictionary (and therefore readily accessible if perhaps not completely reliable) for the word address I dug out:"a formal presentation generally given to a captive audience of like individuals who soon become bored by the incompetent ramblings of the speaker, all the while hoping vainly that he will cease (i.e. shut up) before he makes an absolute fool of himself."
