5-Methyl-5-(4phenoxyphenyl)-3-phyenylamino-2,4-oxazolidinedione.DPX-JE874,is a new agriculatural fungicide udner developmetn by DuPont.DPX-JE874 is a member of a new clas of oxazolidinone fungicides whic deomonstrate excellent control of plant pathogens in the Ascomycete,Basidiomycete,and Oomycete classes which infect grap=es,cereals,tomatores,potatoes ,nd other crops,the synthesis,mode of actin,and strucutre-actiivyt rlationships of wo tyeps of oxazolidinones.2-htioxo-4-oxazolidinones and 2,4-oxazolidinediones,will be discussed.
