摘要

Pyridine (I) and pyrimidine (VII) amides ahve bene ofund to exhibit broad sepctrum insecticidal,acaricidal andnematicidal activity through inhibition of mitochondrial electorn transrot (MET) at site I.The activity of these compoundsagainst Heliothis virescens lrvae (tobacco budworm) could be optimized by varyign the substitutents on both the heteocylclic amine (R~1,R~2) and the phenyl ring (R~3).THe discovery,synthesis and sturcture-activity relationship as it relates to tobacco budworm activity is dscribed.
