Igneous formations have some special characteristics, such as complicated lithology, complicated and diversified pore structure, which results in logging evaluation uncertainty and multiinterpretations. Igneous formation fluids evaluation is a challenge in exploration and development area. This article summarizes the method in identifying fluid properties by direct observation using logging data over the years in Junggar basin. Properties of formation fluids on the logging data is the most effective methods to identify fluid properties and is a base of quantity evalua tion and mathematical modeling. These methods are used in the exploration and development of igneous reservoir e valuation in Junggar Basin. It improves evaluation quickly and effectively.
