In the paper the methodology and the software established to evaluate future air pollutant emissions in air qualities management plans are reported. Preliminary a general frame for air quality management planning is introduced and the general concepts of emissions inventores are briefly resumed. The methodology for emissions projections is then discussed and the "driver" and "scenario" concepts are defined. The PREM system, a software model for emissions projections and to evaluate emissions control measures, is presented. Finally a lot of examples from Italy regional case study are discussed.
