Electrospun poly (ε-caprolactone) (PCL) filament was prepared by electrospinning process. Electrospinning is a process by which sub-micron polymer fibers can be produced using an electrostatic driven jet of polymer solution or melt. Electrospun fabrics are of interest in a wide range of applications including garments, filters, composite materials, membranes, wound dressing, and scaffold for medical industry. Most of the recent work on electrospinning has focused on trying to understand system parameters, morphology, structure and environmental condition. Electrospun nonwovens are not easy to weave because of their morphological structures. The goal of the research presented here is to demonstrate that it is possible to produce filament consisting of sub' micron diameters via electrospinning. And then, electrospun filament was weaved into fabric. Also, electrospun filament was characterized via scanning electro microscopy (SEM) and tensile testing machine.
