摘要

The thread adjustment on the conventional lock stitch sewing machine or overlock stitch sewing machine were performed by altering the pressing force of the tension regulating spring, so there was a problem in seam stability due to the variation of the tension imposed on the thread per stitch. In order to solve this problem, a thread feeding apparatus have been developed to substitute the tension device, which can supply the needed thread per stitch actively for forming stable seam. The consumptions of those sewing threads were measured with Ajiki Method (Ajiki, 2003).
