摘要

A new generation of softer grades Elastollan~R aliphatic HPM TPU is being investigated in this paper. Aromatic TPU tend to turn yellow when it's exposed to heat or sunlight; this issue has limited the use of Aromatic TPU in interior automotive application for aromatic materials containing black pigment.In this work, Elastollan~R LP9277 (plasticizer free, ester type aliphatic TPU, 68 shore A hardness) was investigated. Various testing methods were applied to characterize mechanical and thermal properties including yellowing index, humidity aging, QUV and weathering properties are discussed. Several formulations with different pigments were examined.
